Math Olympiads RESULT
Several students from Queen of Heaven School were among the nearly 150,000 students worldwide to participate in the Math Olympiad program.
Twenty-four of our Queen of Heaven mathletes will receive a National Award Recognition in the Math Olympiad Contests.
5 of them scored in the top 10% of all the participants and
19 of them scored in the top 50% of all the participants.

7th Grade and 6th Grade Math Projects:
Math Menu (6th Grade)
Presentation of a prepared item will be on Monday, May 3.
Menu packet will be due Tuesday, May 4.
Students Check Register(7th Grade)
Each student was given a packet: Student Check Register, checks and Unexpected Events. The starting balance for each student is $10,000.
The check number for 7A will start with 2001.
The check number for 7B will start with 1001.
Dates for both 7a and 7b will start from April 1.
This packet will be due on Friday, May 7.

MATH COMPETITIONS UPDATE
Purple Comet Math Competition
Congratulations to Randy Ko, Gabriella Rivera, Noah Bruick and Luke McConnell
for participating in the Purple Comet! Math Meet!
The online competition was participated by teams from US and other countries.
Team Result: 29th out of 216 in Middle school size 1-400.
Percentile: 83rd
MATHCOUNTS Club Program
The QofH math club has now attained the Silver Level Status.
We're now on the process of attaining the Gold Level.
American Math Competition 8
Congratulations to Gabriella Rivera
for obtaining a National Award Recognition in the 2009 American Math Competition (AMC 8). She received the Honor Roll Award. This award is given to students who scored in the top 2-5%.
This is her second year to receive a National Award; the Certificate of Merit, along with Noah Bruick in the 2008 AMC 8.
MATHCOUNTS COMPETITION
Congratulations to Caitlyn Martinez for winning the school competition Countdown Round and Noah Bruick for taking the 2nd place.
MATH OLYPIADS
